Great Lakes Burn Camp
The Great Lakes Burn Camp strives to make burn injured children ages 7 – 17 feel loved and accepted and provides them with a place to meet other children with similar circumstances. Together, they can play, laugh, and heal while continuing any medical treatment necessary and have all of the enjoyment of camp!
The Camp offers both summer and winter programs and is making a difference in the lives of children across the nation.
Gateway for Cancer Research
Gateway for Cancer Research is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. This year about 569,490 Americans are expected to die of cancer. That is more than 1,500 people a day. The time has come to do something about it. Research funding is critical to find new and advanced treatment options that can stamp out cancer for good.
The Gateway for Cancer Research supports the innovators of new cancer treatments and works to ensure that new treatment options are made available to patients currently suffering from all types of cancer. 99 cents of every dollar received goes directly to the life-saving research.
Feed the Children
Feed the Children is a nonprofit organization that provides relief in the form of food, medicine and supplies for families that have been impacted by poverty, war or natural disasters. Based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Feed the Children provides help for families around the world and yet have focused efforts here in the United States as well.
Last year, through charitable contribution, Feed the Children was able to provide 133 million pounds of food to individuals in the United States and Worldwide. No child should go hungry and no family should have to struggle to provide the basic essentials to their children.
Humane Society
The Humane Society knows that all animals should be treasured, whether as a loved member of the family or in the wild as an important member of the world ecology. It is the goal to reduce suffering of animals and to promote pet adoption, animal shelters and conservation of habitats.
Animals provide love and companionship while asking for so little, the humane society's goal is to help the animals who deserve more.
